JT teaches CiCi how to be humble

Ciara has revealed collaborating with Justin Timberlake on hit single ‘Love Sex Magic’ last year taught her how to be ”humble”.

Justin Timberlake taught Ciara to be “humble”.

The pair collaborated on hit single ‘Love Sex Magic’ last year, and the ‘Ride’ singer was astonished by how down-to-earth the former N’Sync star was.

She said: “Justin was great, he was really nice. He taught me to be humble, because that’s the thing which is key to being successful.”

Ciara is preparing for the release of her latest album ‘Basic Instinct’, and says she deliberately kept collaborations to a minimum on the record so she could give more of herself to her fans.

She explained: “I worked with Ludacris on the single, ‘Ride’, but I didn’t really collaborate with anyone else because I wanted people to be able to hear me and my voice this time around.”

However, Ciara still has plans for duets in the future.

She added to BANG Showbiz: “I’d love to do something with Usher in the future.”

While the brunette beauty has worked with an array of eligible men in the past, she recently admitted she is too busy concentrating on her career to have a relationship.

She said: “I’m actually dating my music right now! I am just focusing on music.”

Back to School: Ciara

If Ciara isnt a positive influence on all of her young and older fans, then i just dont know who is!!! Thumbs up to Ciara :)

The 24-year-old singer – who embarked on a music career aged just 16 – is currently focused on her work but would love to further her knowledge of other subjects as she feels it is essential to get on in life.

She said: me “I did get some years where I was still able to go to school and see my friends, so I don’t feel like I missed out on my youth. I didn’t go to college or anything.

“I would like to go back to school one day and learn more because knowledge is power, so the more the better.

I’m happy that I stopped my education when I did, in terms of seeing my career take off in the way that it did, but I wouldn’t rule out going back to school one day. If something caught my interest and inspired me to go back, then I may think about going back into education, but for now I’m focused on my career.”

The ‘Ride’ singer is currently single but would love to start a family one day, and admits she is unsure whether she would want to juggle the responsibilities of work and home life.

She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “After music I would love to raise a family, have kids, because that’s one of the most important things you can do, it would really be a blessing.

“You have to make sacrifices. I don’t know if I would quit music completely when I had children, but it would be a big responsibility so I would have to see how things go and consider making a decision then.”

Ciara’s single ‘Ride’ – featuring Ludacris – is available now and her new album ‘Basic Instinct’ is scheduled for release in the UK on August 24.

Interview with Ciara

Ciara crashed into the UK charts in 2004 with her debut single Goodies. Since then she’s scored big hits with 1,2 Step, Oh, Like A Boy and Love Sex Magic featuring Justin Timberlake. Her last album Fantasy Ride performed disappointingly on the charts despite being her highest charting in the UK.

Now preparing for the release of fourth studio album Basic Instinct, Ciara is returning to her roots for her most exciting work to date. Lead single Ride features Ludacris and has already created controversy in the US after being banned by BET.

We caught up with Ciara to talk about Ride, find out more about Basic Instinct and discuss those impressive dance moves. (Read more…)

Ciara Says It ‘Feels Really Good’ To Get Andre 3000 On ‘Ride’ Remix

MTV.COM ‘He is, from what I understand, very selective and … protective of his creativity,’ she tells MTV News.

Ciara has found a way to make her sexy single “Ride” even hotter: a collaboration with Andre 3000, one of the most sought-after MCs in the game.

CiCi has recruited the Outkast rapper for a remix of “Ride,” which also features fellow ATLien Ludacris. But the diva didn’t land the collaboration alone; she brought in some music-industry bigwigs to help her out.

“My team actually kind of helped put that together. My A&R [rep] Mark [Pitts] and [RCA/Jive Label Group Chairman and CEO] Barry Weiss, they kinda worked it out,” Ciara told MTV News about getting the MC, who is known for being selective when it comes to doling out features. “It was just a really cool thing for Dre to respond back and say he wanted to get on the record.”

The Wrap Up recently caught up with the R&B star to talk about the ban, the inspiration behind her new album, her desire to work with Dizzee Rascal, and much more…

The Wrap Up: Hey Ciara, it’s been a while since we saw you in the UK. How are you and when will you be back over here?

Ciara: I’m great thank you, I’m doing really good. I’m in the US at the moment, but I hope to be back in the UK in the next couple of months. I love to shop in the UK and visit Mr Chow’s and Nobu restaurants in London. Oh, and Nandos of course!

TWU: Is working with a UK artist on your ‘to do’ list at the moment?
Ciara: I’ve worked with Natasha Bedingfield before at a cancer charity gig we did with Beyonce, Mary J Blige and others. I’m a fan of Dizzee Rascal, so who knows? I like Kylie Minogue too, she’s Australian? Oh!

TWU: I know charity work has been important to you. Do you have any other charity projects lined up?
Ciara: I do have plans to get more charity work going. I want to focus on the kids, and particularly young women, to give something back. I’d like to visit young women living in difficult situations across the world and help them to build their self esteem and confidence. They inspire me.
