Did anyone catch Ciara at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards? The sultry singer was decked out in Givenchy haute couture (oh, to be pals with head designer Riccardo Tisci), pairing a heavily embellished jacket over a lace jumpsuit.

Ciara didn’t want her hair and makeup to compete with the intense drama of her ensemble, so she enlisted makeup artist Yolanda Frederick to create a nearly-natural red carpet look that showcased her already-gorgeous features.

Frederick, who works almost exclusively with shu uemura products, shared the steps for creating Ciara’s glow. In her own words:

1. For Ciara’s Grammy red carpet look, I prepped the face with shu uemura’s new UV Under Base Fluid in Medium Beige.

2. I then followed up with shu uemura’s Nobara Cream Cover Stick foundation in 524 for a flawless golden finish.

3. In order to complement Ciara’s stunning Givenchy ensemble, we decided to go with a flirty lash and lots of shu uemura’s Ultimate Mascara in Black to frame the eye.

4. For cheeks, I used shu uemura’s Glow On blush in M Amber 89 and highlighted with Lancôme’s Model Mocha Cream Shimmer for more drama!

5. For a perfect lip, I lined ever so lightly with shu uemura’s Drawing Lip Pencil in Brown 710 then topped it off with shu uemura’s creamy nude Rouge Unlimited lipstick in BG 940M.

6.  I then wanted to highlight the center of the lip with a shimmery gloss, so I applied shu uemura’s Gloss Unlimited in BG 980N for that extra pop!

A muse to Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, the Grammy-award winning singer attended their couture show this week wearing a look that was concurrently shown on the runway.

Equally jealously-inducing? Her always perfect makeup, which, Ciara tells us, is thanks to the talented makeup artist she never leaves home without.

“I love using Yolonda because she understands how to give me that flawless glowing skin without going super heavy with the makeup,” Ciara tells StyleList of her longtime personal makeup artist Yolonda Frederick.

Working with the twenty four year-old star since she was just sixteen, Frederick has glammed up Ciara from her very first promo shoot as a recording artist to her high school senior prom, and all the way to her latest red carpet appearances this past year.

“Ciara’s look is very clean and fresh-faced with bronzy undertones and radiant cheeks. I like to make her eyes sparkle with a warm smoky eye and top the look off with a baby doll pink lip,” says Frederick.

But when it comes to the trick that makes the biggest difference, Frederick’s subtle answer may surprise you.

“I create a flawless but natural brow using fine hair-like strokes of deep warm brown brow color applied with an angled brush,” says the makeup artist. Framing the Texas-born beauty’s face with a gently arched brow balances out Ciara’s pretty features and emphasizes the elegant bone structure of her face.

And just like any beauty junkie, Ciara has a special list of never-be-caught-without faves.

“Believe it or not, Ciara must have Fashion Fair True Finish Concealer and Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil and Gel in Brunette. The pencil defines and the gel sets. She loves making her eyes pop with Maybelline Great Lash Big Mascara in Black and her Cover Girl Make-Up Masters Lash Curler. And she never leaves home without applying her Skinceuticals Ultimate UV Defense SPF 30 Moisturizer,” says Frederick.

We love that most of Ciara’s million dollar smile comes from a walk down the drugstore aisle; who knew that glitzy red carpet beauty was just a Walgreens away? Source.

Do not be ashamed to have this conversation with someone you are thinking about being intimate with. If they truly love you and love themselves, then they will agree on how important it is to not risk their life or yours. This is a reality. We are all at risk but we can take action to protect ourselves. Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can and should do today. Get Tested.
