Even in death jazz icon and actress Lena Horne continues to inspire a new generation of women who, thanks in part to her struggle and achievements, have and will be able to achieve their dreams.

“Lena Horne truly epitomized the words class, style, glamour and priceless,” Ciara said Monday. “She blazed a trail for me and so many others. She will truly be missed but her legacy will never be forgotten!”

Did anyone catch Ciara at Sunday night’s Grammy Awards? The sultry singer was decked out in Givenchy haute couture (oh, to be pals with head designer Riccardo Tisci), pairing a heavily embellished jacket over a lace jumpsuit.

Ciara didn’t want her hair and makeup to compete with the intense drama of her ensemble, so she enlisted makeup artist Yolanda Frederick to create a nearly-natural red carpet look that showcased her already-gorgeous features.

A muse to Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci, the Grammy-award winning singer attended their couture show this week wearing a look that was concurrently shown on the runway.

Equally jealously-inducing? Her always perfect makeup, which, Ciara tells us, is thanks to the talented makeup artist she never leaves home without.

Let’s not pretend this could not happen to you because it can. What are you doing to protect yourself? Even if you think you are in love, you should still protect yourself until both you and your partner get tested and have proof. Do not be ashamed to have this conversation with someone you are thinking about being intimate with. If they truly love you and love themselves, then they will agree on how important it is to not risk their life or yours. This is a reality. We are all at risk but we can take action to protect ourselves. Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can and should do today. Get Tested.
