LaLa about Ciara – interview by Vibe.com

CiCi’s best friend La La Vazquez was interviewed by Vibe, they mentioned Ciara:

You’re good friends with Ciara, do you think BET was justified in banning her video?
It definitely was sexy, but I enjoyed seeing her with her stretch pants and shirt and really getting down and dirty. I think people wanted to see that from her. I didn’t think it should’ve been banned. I’ve seen a lot of stuff on BET that’s a lot worse, but I know they’re working on rectifying the situation.

How do you feel about folks saying it’s weird that you, Ciara and Kim Kardashian hang out together?

It’s definitely three people from different worlds and backgrounds, but to me, I feel like when it’s cool people, it’s not a lot of work. When everyone’s easy to be around, it doesn’t take much to put people in a room and have a good time. It’s kind of weird to me when people say it’s odd because you only know a perception of someone. And when you get to know them, they’re just like you. I don’t pick my friends based on what they do.

Who’s your best friend in the industry?
Kelly Rowland and Ciara. I’ve known both of them the longest. I’m also very close with Trina, I’m close with Solange. There’s quite a bit.

Will any of them be your Maid of Honor?

They’ll all be at my wedding. My Maid of Honor is my cousin, Dice, who grew up with me in the same house. We’ve been through everything.

The-Dream Says Ciara Has ‘A Point To Prove’ On Basic Instinct

MTV.COM ‘She’s just trying to do as much as she can to regain her status,’ songwriter tells MTV News.
Ciara originally said she wanted to keep the guest list to a minimum for her next album, Basic Instinct. But The-Dream can be pretty convincing.

The hitmaking songwriter suggested CiCi reteam with Ludacris, and the result was the steamy “Ride,” the first single from Basic Instinct.

“I brought Luda in, because I felt like her and Luda have had so much success together, they just sound right together,” The-Dream told MTV News from the set of his “Make Up Bag” video. “Especially on that record, ‘Ride,’ that’s the first record me and Trick did [for her new album]. It sounded like Luda, and it sounded like Ciara. So [we] blessed the summertime with both of them.

“She has a point she’s trying to prove,” he added. “But I don’t think she meant it literally like that. She’s just trying to do as much as she can to regain her status. And I think she’s did a good job of doing it.

Donnis Talks Embarrassing ‘Ride’ With Ciara

With an ink-still-wet signing to Atlantic, ATLien lyricist Donnis speaks on Japanese wives, idolizing Jermaine Dupri and teaching Ciara the wrong way to ride

Did you see the Air Force as a possible career option if rap didn’t work out?
Not really. Honestly, what pushed me to start going hard with the music was seeing Ciara, because I actually grew up with her. Jonesboro is a small area, so we lived near each other. I remember seeing Ciara on TV when “Goodies” started popping; it was crazy for me to see somebody who I actually knew to be having all this success in music. After that, I spent every dollar I made from the Air Force into pushing my music.

Were you guys were close?
We weren’t best friends, but we were definitely cool. I actually used to date one of her friends, so we used to hang out. One night, we were all chillin’ and I had this raggedy 1989 Honda Civic Hatchback—the worst car ever. We decided to all pack in and go to this party T-Boz’s younger brother was throwing, but along the way my car broke down and we had to push that thing. It was straight embarrassing, man.

Ludacris Says He’ll Keep Making ‘History’ With Ciara

MTV.COM ‘We always pick the right songs to do together,’ the Atlanta MC says of ‘Ride’ and other collabos.
The formula is simple enough: Ludacris plus Ciara on the same track equals a hit.
“Man, we always pick the right songs to do together,” Luda told MTV News over the weekend in Los Angeles, where he performed at KIIS-FM’s annual Wango Tango festival. “She always gives me the right songs; I always give her the right songs. We were actually just talking about that today. So I’m just glad that we have that many collaborations under our belts … we’ll continue to make history.”

The two Atlanta residents recently reconnected on Ciara’s latest single, the steamy “Ride,” which is the first offering from her forthcoming album, tentatively titled Basic Instinct. The project is being helmed by The-Dream and Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, who oversaw her last effort, 2009’s Fantasy Ride.

Brandon Jennings totally loves Ciara

While he’s not quite to the Kobe Bryant(notes) level of being on the cover, Brandong Jennings is featured in the newest issue of GQ. The article, which isn’t yet available online, goes in to the basic Jennings info: he’s young but talented, he played in Italy, he scored 55 points in a game once. You know, the hits.

But there’s also something that we didn’t know — he’s head-over-heels for Ciara and she doesn’t even know it. Davy Rothbart’s profile provides Jennings’ suave plans for their first date.

First, he’ll fly you to his new, adopted hometown of Milwaukee, where you’ll sit courtside at one of his games. Then he’ll take you out downtown for a nice (but not extravagant) dinner at a steak house called Carnevor, a favorte spot of his. From there, the nightlife options are a bit limited; Jennings, still months away from his twenty-first birthday, can’t get into any of the local clubs. So a movie might be in order — say, “Ninja Assassin?” He’s already seen it, but if you haven’t, he’d watch it again. Or maybe some video games back at his condo?

“We don’t have to be in a rush,” he says. “we can take it step-by-step. Let’s just hand out, have fun, and see what happens.”

Sounds like an awesome date. There’s nothing girls like more than dinner, followed by a ninja movie and some video games. At least the ones worth keeping.

So if you happen to know Ciara, do your best to get a copy of this magazine in her hands as soon as possible. We could be looking at the NBA’s next power couple. Sorry, Lamar. Source

thanks Ciara_2010!
